This continual growth is due largely to the in-house capabilities which are available within the group from a dynamic hands on approach from tendering to the construction process and to the ever increasing amount of direct resource which can benefit both cost and programme.
At Dunne's we have recognised that this process begins even before the tendering process. We are able to discuss the design requirements at an early stage and provide early cost information which can allow more cost efficient Post Tensioned Frames or even the option of providing concrete frames in lieu of steel.
Based at our Bathgate office is the impressive plant yard which supplies all plant requirements from tipper lorries to concrete pumps and from tower cranes to compressors. This gives Dunne Building and Civil Engineering Ltd the ability to be in direct control of all plant requirements on site thus providing quality plant equipment for our Client's projects as well as guaranteeing plant being on site when it is required. The delivery of four concrete wagons within the Dunne portfolio provides greater control of concrete supply at a time when demand is very high.
Also within the Bathgate development is our New Precast Facility which gives Dunne Building and Civil Engineering Ltd the ability to precast all it's own columns and stairs etc, which can then be easily transported to site using our in-house transport capabilities. We are therefore able to deliver in a 'just in time' basis, reducing the amount of storage required on site whilst providing a quicker method of construction.
Our in-house capability has been greatly increased in the last two years by the formation of our post - tensioning company, Conforce. We now have the ability to design and install post - tensioning systems with our specialist labour force again ensuring that the control of this process is within our own hands. From a design point of view our technical staff can offer our Client's programme and cost benefits by utilising post - tension systems and providing early and ongoing design information.
Whilst Dunne Building and Civil Engineering Ltd are busy constructing groundwork, walls and columns the matter of pouring concrete into slabs is handed to Dunne Concrete Flooring Ltd. This specialist company offers a wealth of experience and are able to appear on the day of the pour to cast the floor slab and then leave the site until the next pour is required. This therefore reduces the interface between these two trades and minimises the number of operatives on site and provides greater flexibility ensuring our Client's needs are met at the forefront of our operations.
We have highly skilled and experienced staff within Dunne Building and Civil Engineering Ltd who understand the needs of our Client and who are able to adapt on a daily basis to the demands and changes which can occur and which our Clients expect.
All our operatives are directly employed which again provides direct control and offers the ability to maximise the use of employees throughout all our contracts. Our operatives are highly trained and this is monitored and updated on a regular basis by our in-house Safety Manager to ensure that safety and training are a top priority.
